Okay... I know yesterday I said that I was going to list my favorite horror / SciFi movies today, and I am going to list them - just not today. I just got accepted into the Amazon Shorts program and thought I'd start off with a vampire story. After all I did promise...
My plan is to write a series of related stories that can stand on their own. I'll introduce the predominant character in the second story and then he'll continue through the remainder of the serial. As with all my stories, I'll give life to the legend of vampires and make them as realistic as possible. And of course I'll put my own unique spin on it. If you think you've read every conceived permutation of the vampire story - then I think you'll be in for a surprise.
Amazon sells the download off their Shorts program for a very reasonable $.49. I hope to have my first short story available before the end of the year. Since this will be my first, I don't really know how long the review process is - but I can't imagine it taking longer than a month. I'll post an update as soon as I find out when it'll be available. I'll also provide a hot link from this blog.
I will post my five favorite horror / SciFi movies tomorrow (no excuses). And I'm hoping to sit down and read King's 'The Mist' tomorrow, so I should have a review of it by Sunday. Until then, keep it creepy! J/W
